Graduation Day, by Ashley Reneë *Raining Tears* Subscribe to rss feed for Ashley Reneë *Raining Tears*

there she goes all grown up now
look at her parents they are so proud
tears fill their eyes, sorrow fills her heart
they watch her as she walks slowly up and she knows this is
just the start
the cuts on her arm, they never even knew
she didnt think it mattered, there were only just a few
as time crept by, she hated herself more
now they are longer deeper and sore
her parents found a letter of how she wanted to commit
suicide
they didnt think she could do this, just throw her life
aside
tears are flowing heavily, on the way to her apartment
they make their way to a parking spot; their pain is so
great they just yell STOP IT
they find her hanging in her closet
her parents yelled, and they just lost it
they remember graduation day, to them she seemed so happy
they wondered where she flunked
and when she thought her life was so crappy
now it is too late, her life is gone
her parents just stand there and think of what shes done
her friends and family are walking down her funeral aisle,
to them it feels like they've been walking for a mile
now they just turn away, walking slowly and they know it is
the end; for she is gone and no more time to spend

this is a sad poem, well written though, I have no room to talk but there's always a reason to live your life
