the want of never, by PenPenPoems Subscribe to rss feed for PenPenPoems

why should i forsake myself
beg help escape the barriers of past mistakes
to take myself denied by faith
let hate fall upon disgrace of man-made sin
begin to kill me inside

to hide this goddamn don't of sight
of fright if i shall drown my soul's desire
retire to dust without a try
belie and live my life without a wish

in bliss of cage of rightful reasons to be free
to flee behind these walls of laws invented
created a soul of callous head and knees
and sees but iron-pressed of norm

conform to hide the choice
no choice for what i want
the want of never should be
yes it should be never be done but why
why it must be again undone today:

and say no! to the want of never again

and repeat it again
and again
and again even if it would mean death
of my last breath in this fire of hell

i yell oh please let me sleep with you tonight
oh our last night once more
before you say your last goodbye forever
in the want of never
