A Story of Pain(a poem), by Convalescence Subscribe to rss feed for Convalescence

I stare into the mirror,
but do not see your face.
You seem to be finding
that this is not your place.

I stand within a friendship,
but I just don't see you there.
I guess I now am finding
that you never really cared.

I feel the ground beneath me,
but now it's closing in.
I find that I am falling,
as the light-it grows so dim.

I find that you don't catch me,
though you know I'll die.
I just don't understand,
and you won't answer-Why?

The past forever changed me.
It will no more make me cry.
I think about the future
as I let out a sigh.

I hear your voice-it's fading,
as you bow your head in shame.
I stare into the mirror
as you slowly walk away.
