never again will i let the monsters out
never again will i show my weakness
it is what makes me human without doubt
it is my soul showing its bleakness

the animalistic nature that is me
fighting to escape the cage it knows so well
i must never set this demon free
it has fought so hard, since they day i fell

fighting me with memories of pain
driving me mad with the want of happiness
holding me back and yet letting me gain
the only thing keeping me sane, the heartbeat in my chest

it beats for you and holds back the fire
however i cannot help my bones growing cold
i fight a horror that does not tire
and with every outburst it tightens its hold

I have jumped within the abyss 
to duel this demon one last time
