Newly weds, by girlinthefrostedmirror Subscribe to rss feed for girlinthefrostedmirror

Did you hear it on the radio?
How about the news?
The end is catching up to us
The clock is ticking down,
Running out of sweet time
And there is nothing stopping me now.

I am not going to live to twenty,
Neither are you.
I am not ready to end but I wouldn’t mind so much if I got
to end with you.
You think I’m beautiful, I think you’re cute.
You say you love me and I am crazy about you.
If your not busy and just waiting to die,
I have a crazy plan for us tonight.

We’ll go to a second hand store
I’ll find a wedding dress
You can wear a tweed suit.
We can look real spiffy with nothing to lose.

We can drive to a church,
Where we can find a priest
Or just a homeless guy, I don’t care who marries me.
There will be lots of sinners on our guest list,
Praying that the end won’t come
And missing our husband and wife kiss.

We’ll go to some hotel and drink a bottle of wine,
Not worry about tomorrow
And find a way to pass the time.
We’ll turn off the radio and forget the news,
Nothing can take away from the fact that I just married
you.

I guess I always wanted to be your wife,
I wanted to wait till I was older to start that life,
But it isn’t coming and I will try not to find it sad.
You can’t stop it from happening so I married you
And I am glad.

Tomorrow we will wake up
Young newlyweds
In a world that burning
And by dusk we’ll be dead.
