The Story of the Dolphin, by Convalescence Subscribe to rss feed for Convalescence

Once there were the stories
of people with a tail.
They lived in deeper water.
Down from their stomachs-scales.

Their living was a secret
because they were despised.
To us, they were mutants,
people said that they must die.

We tried to hide the story;
We called it all a lie.
But still some people knew,
but we knew that legends die.

Through all this massacre
some "mutants" did survive,
but with their human strength,
they knew that they would die.

They transferred all their strength
to a creature, never seen.
Giving them their spirit.
But what did all this mean?

There was a creature formed,
of beauty, also mind.
So much alike to them,
No stronger sense-you'd find.

These creatures, we call dolphins,
This-just a legend told.
No more "mutants" will remain,
now just the stories told.
