A Military Hero's Poem, by angela kay zea Subscribe to rss feed for angela kay zea

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust and miles to go before I
sleep and miles to go lest I weep. My body has been taken,
but my soul is yours to keep. I sleep with the angels that
held my hand. I sleep in peace knowing I protected this
great land. Someone had to do it, someone had to take a
stand. We had to stand for glory and rights and risk our
lives on sleepless nights. In sand we slept and in God's
soul we were kept. We were asked to answer the call and
stand tall. In the end we lept to our final retreat and it
is before God we now take our final seat.
