Crumbling Walls, by Invisible Poet Subscribe to rss feed for Invisible Poet

what happened to the wall
around my emotions
the hardened stone that stood so tall
has crumbled into the oceans

for you they fell without pause
like leaves in the fall
its like every word we shared was a cause
of a thousand tiny cracks so small

As i watch my fortress fall down around me
I cannot help but contemplate
if i turned back the clock what would be
ah but that would be twisting fate

A feat that cannot be done
by any man such as me
a man the focus of everyones shun
so i build again my walls and never let you see

the emptiness i hold inside
the cold and empty halls
many others have tried
but few have broken through my walls
