A thousand Angels, by If It Wasnt For The Broken Hearts Where Would I Be Subscribe to rss feed for If It Wasnt For The Broken Hearts Where Would I Be

Blink away a tear,
And let the sky weep instead,
Today a thousand angels,
Cried when they heard you were dead,

And they can say the best die young,
I guess they’ll never learn,
That years can make better people,
And that death never waits its turn.

So blink away a tear,
And let the sky open its eyes,
Today a thousand angels,
Cried because you died.

And pain will make you stronger,
But it breaks you in the end,
Heaven opens up its gates,
But god, he has no friends.

And blinking away the tears,
The sky opens wide,
A thousand angels cried today,
And their tears just couldn’t hide.

No one will ever know,
What goes on behind those pearly gates,
And I guess you cant wonder forever,
I guess that death just will not wait.

And everyone blinks away their tears,
And the sky opens up its jaws,
A thousand angels are crying,
And a million people die without a cause.

Nobody ever said that death was fair,
But no one ever said life was just,
And in the end it never matters,
Because we all eventually blow with the dust.

So I blink away a tear,
And the sky it just wont close,
A thousand angels are crying,
Because all life eventually goes.

So we all play along today,
And life is the chosen game,
But death will come and find us playing,
The ending is always the same.

So blink away your tears,
And take a look at the sky,
A thousand angels are crying,
Giving you your chance to say goodbye.
