Though the eyes of a child, by Lynn Cowan Subscribe to rss feed for Lynn Cowan

I have climbed the highest mountain
and sailed the ocean wide
But nothing could fill my heart so complete
But a smile from a child of thine.

I have seen my days of sadness
I have dealt with selfish pride
But nothing will ever turn my head as quickly
Like a cry from a child of thine.

Our lives are set on a time scale
Our clock will tick away
But nothing could ever clear my mind so quickly
As a child's gentle touch that says "It will be okay."
From a child of thine.

This life is filled with obstacles
That will make us want to turn and hide
But the world will always turn on time
Though the eyes of a child of thine.
