MY GHOST, by POOR JOSIE >j< Subscribe to rss feed for POOR JOSIE >j<

I KNOW I THINK TOO MUCH
AS MOST PEOPLE DO
I WORRY ABOUT THINGS I CAN'T CHANGE
I WORRY ABOUT ME AND YOU

I WORRY I'LL BE FORGOTTEN
LIKE I NEVER WAS EVEN HERE
A GHOST WHO ALMOST LEFT A MARK
A GHOST THAT LIVED IN FEAR

I WONDER IF GHOST STAY HERE BECAUSE
THERE AFRAID NOONE WILL REMEMBER
ONCE THEIR LIGHT HAS EXTINGUISHED
IT WOULD BE LESS THAN A SMOLDERING EMBER

HOW MANY SOULS LET THEMSELVES GO
AND WERE NEVER THOUGHT OF AGAIN
THEIR NAMES CARVED TO STONE AND
OVER THE YEARS WASHED AWAY BY RAIN

BUT BY NO CHOICE ONE DAY WE'LL GO
AND LOVE WILL TRANSCEND TIME
WHEN YOU TOOK MY HAND AS MY HUSBAND
AND I TOOK YOURS AS YOUR BRIDE
