The Wondering Creek , by Linda Lamb Subscribe to rss feed for Linda Lamb

As the snow melts, the creek rises;
the sweet sight of this is no surprise.
As the water starts to run and roll,
the sweet sound of this; truly consoles.

As the sun shines on the water and sand,
it sparkles like gold running through my hands.
The water is as yellow as a morning rose,
the beauty of all this; you should behold.
You don't always see such a sight,
and the soothing sounds are a sweet delight.
As I open my eye's and my heart,
sweet scenes like this will never part.
As the water rolls over the rocks; so smoothe,
the calmness of it all truly soothes.
It washes away all my bad memories,
it helps my emotion's to feel at ease.

If you never open your heart to feel this,
you will never realize what you have missed.
Because it soothes your soul so deep,
these are memories only you can keep.
