Missing You, by ShastaGirl Subscribe to rss feed for ShastaGirl

It’s been a few years that you’ve been gone
Though it feels like an eternity
Since the last time we saw your smiling face
Or been able to kiss your cheek

The question of ‘why’ will always be in
The back of our hearts and mind
But the fact that you’re gone will remain the same
No matter what answers we find

There are no words to describe the love
That is felt each day for you
We use the memories we have in our hearts
As strength to carry us through

As the pain of that day replays in our heads
That day that you left us behind
We get comfort in knowing that Jesus was holding
Your hand as you said ‘Good Bye’

There is nothing that we can do now
Except to hold out our hands and wait
For Jesus to lead us to where you’ll be waiting
For us at the Pearly Gates
