Road Trip, by suzieQ Subscribe to rss feed for suzieQ

In the town of Seward, so geographically alone
To seek fun, three friends left on their own
Too quickly did the sun intensify its rays
This provoked peculiar deeds, sanity devoid in every way

In friendship's trio, they bonded heart, soul and mind
A truer bluer love, not one soul could find
And this faeful summer day, anyone could not guess
The mischief concocted, no parents would bless

Friend number one was vivacious and bright
Eccentric and loud, to live was her delight
No detail unnoticed, so bubbly and free
That everyone be happy, this was her decree

Friend number two had a heart of pure gold
No comparison dared be made to this beauty so bold
Vibrant color, a gentle heart, hilarity and fun
This fun loving woman outshone the sun

Girl number three was pronounced curious and outgoing
Her open, bold nature left no soul unknowing
Of her every feeling, thought and spontaneous flicker
With this girl, peculiar actions required no liquor

Friends such as these, thought up a plan
A plan a little crazy by most people in Yukon land
To waste one summer week on provoking their luck
To use their talents in a way that would of made a proud
Puck

They set off cross country, to cities far away
Where the road trip concocted was put into play
Sugar, songs, and inside jokes, set them far flung apart
From all other teens, for the connection was at the heart

It lasted seven days, that short-lived liberty
Their nature-driven spunk gave them that opportunity
To be truely friends, outrageous and free
That week prepared them for the world of reality

Together they bonded and were fully equipped
When their futures approached and their wings no longer
clipped
What they discovered on that journey of various roads
The road you may travel, you do not travel alone
