How to explain a feeling of loss
I didn’t think I’d fall this hard
Maybe I expected I would bounce
I didn’t think I’d feel like I’ve lost my best mate
The one person of who I could trust
Inside those four walls I felt safe
My one trump card I held too tight
I feel like I’m back swimming in mud
My compass smashed out of kilter
Searching to regain my direction
Dropping the ball as I attempt to juggle
As those scared feelings return with vengeance
I feel like I’m back in that eternal whirlpool
I refuse to let myself down
With a brave heart I fight to lift ones self back up
Straining to focus through flowing tears
My confident I can see no more
Hollow, empty, it hurts that feeling of loss
