Being aware of ones limitations Can only help us with our own personal expectations Inner growth evolves around self awareness Recognising ones flaws is a hard task I must confess Being attentive to those behaviours of which I desire to change Requires a radical shift in thought and belief pattern exchange Give myself credit for the headway I have made The hard work and effort I would not trade For I know without these I could not have grown The personal growth within me may not have shown I know now I am only responsible for my choice This has been a long struggle for me to finally voice A precious gift I offer to forgive This token I grant so I can live I am starting to believe and accept I possess self worth That I definitely have a right and deserve to be happy on this earth Feeling all my emotions on my travels Showing insight as my future unravels All Life’s experiences forms myself stronger In fear of the unknown I will live no longer I have the power and hold my future in my hand Forever remaining faithful to myself I will stand I want to learn to trust once again in mankind To feel safe in another’s arms entwined A fruitful relationship may be just beyond the gate So I’ll keep an open mind as I patiently wait Adjusting and changing my thinking as required Accepting personal growth and change I am inspired I believe there is nothing that cannot be learned Knowing this I feel a corner I have turned So as I steer my life through crystal clear eyes I’m looking forward to each day as I watch the colourful sun rise **Copyright reserved
