Its that time once again
The kids are once more at home
Teachers are relieved and welcome there long break
But mums & Dads are mortifide knowing whats at stake
They once more need eyes in the back of there head
While dad mutters some thing like he wish he was dead
The noise around the house is spoiling his daily doze
While the cat & dog sits under the stairs almost froze
At least for Nans and Grandads at the end of a day
When all of our kin folk come for a stay
Can plead a head ache as we watch them play
Shhh we hear a plaintive cry watch out for granpa
he thinks he is gonna die, oops says baby jane thats a lie
Grandpa would never say that.

Because he is the one who rescued the cat
Nan and granpa loves us all quite a lot
even when babe is sitting on the pot
I know us kids do make a din
but thats only when then wont let us in
Were stuck outside in the back yard
Trying our best to be quiet, but its hard
beside's us they have chickens galore
With there clucking and messing all over the floor
But never mind we are all loved
even when back in the car we are shoved
Tired dirty but contented we now head for home
Thank you Nan and grandpa we love you a lot
Were so sorry we forgot to empty babes pot
