A Beautiful Sun Falls, by Anthony Cardon Subscribe to rss feed for Anthony Cardon

I watch
Two lovers
Embrace in an everlasting kiss,
Glued to one another
As though they had come to this world
Connected,
Every sacrifice made to keep the moment
Away from the metronome of time as tears strike the cold
Concrete ground.

White clouds race across
The skies
As the bright green leaves glow
Under the influence of the sun.
The windows keep their privacy from
Approaching winds,
But they fear not the eyes.

An abandoned balcony outside, it is suitable
For the support of
Human bodies
Despite of its inaccessable location.
It appears to wait
And crack with impatience
Until they finally come, to unite
Behind the large glass windows.

And the evening sun shall begin to fade
To leave all thoughts to the contrasting
Darkness,
To a thought meant to partake
Of the winning clock of fate.
