Heart

A heart filled with the brightness of a brand new day
No dread no gloom to darken the way
glancing in the mirror and finding it clear
beautiful brown eyes glistening there

Substantial lights almost invisible to the mind
dancing to melodies of a very strange kind
seeking to bring the beauty of color to play
bouncing from the cold of the long winter grays

To break a heart can be so serious a deed
A soul could be lost without real need
But the heart is durable most it will whether
Just takes true love to hold it together.

But if I hold to mine and you hold to yours
surely we won't realize the hearts true cause
Taking chances, an intricate part of life
So give of you, just don't think twice
