You only got colder. , by love nothing >>--<3--> Subscribe to rss feed for love nothing >>--<3-->

she paints her face up something elegant
her eyes a darker shade of green
not aware the look in her eyes is more intense than he's
ever seen
she's out the door, with nothing to lose

he takes another hit, knowing it's time.
standing up, she tries to follow him.
it's the other girl, isn't it?
the only one that ever meant anything.

she runs her fingers through her delicate, silky brunette
hair.
willing herself to beleive that he just might not be there.
she turns around to face him; scalding him with timeless
eyes.
she's better than perfection; in his bloodshot eyes.

yeah, she's breath-taking. that's what they all say.
he takes in her precious beauty, daring to look her way.
she's got porcelain skin that glows like diamonds.
he's out of words to say, to keep her by him.

she turns on her heel, ready to walk.
forcefully he grabs her shoulder;
"sit down, let's please just talk."
she whispers, "i tried to let it go, but you only got
colder."

he shivers now, cold down to the bone.
he looks up, pleadingly, but her eyes had turned to stone.
she says, "sweetie, your self-esteem comes from your daddys
wallet."
"I tried finding the good in you, but I lost it."

[I'm still trying to decide if I should use wallet or
pocket, in the last stanza. Haha. This is kind of cute. Some
guys don't realize what they have til it's gone. Some girls
never stop trying, but when they do, they lose a part of
them. This isn't based on anything other than clever lines.]
