Kisses hot and sweet,
igniting desire
as your hands roam over
the lines of my body
you have travelled
so many times before.
Your eyes are burning into mine
with an intensity
that leaves me weak.
The dim light shifts around us,
fluttering shadows
move over your face.
I trace my tongue
down your neck
in circles,
listening to you moan.
Then your mouth is on my breasts,
my back arches
and you slide
down, down, down me
for a taste.
Surfacing,
you press your body against me,
your craving apparent.
I smooth my hand down your stomach,
lower, lower, lower
until we're both going crazy.
I shuffle down,
tangled in the sheets
to tease you gently with my teeth.
Too much,
I swing over and straddle you,
gasping and biting my lip
as two
become one.
Sweat cascades down our bodies
and pools in every curve
as we move to a changing rhythm,
the windows steaming up.
Higher,
higher,
higher until
with cries we fall
back down again.
My head on your chest,
your heartbeat my lullaby.
"I love you," you whisper
and I am your echo.
Then I'm pulling on clothes
and fixing my hair,
jerky movements,
so urgent.
"Hurry up!"
In your car
driving away from heaven
again.
Hello reality as,
with longing,
we kiss goodbye
again.
You drop me around the corner
and, heavy-limbed,
I stagger with the pain of return
right up to the front door.
Inside my prison
I am burning with so many layers
of lies.
"Buy much out shopping?"
"Couldn't find anything."
They don't see
that I never stopped
falling
and I don't show them
the scars.
