Unfocused, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Unfocus the centre,
I’ll stare at the edges,
I will not seesaw down
so that you can be up.
I will not mask lies
so that you can breathe,
I will not choke
so you think that you’re right.
Beneath all the scribbles
the words are still clear,
held up to the window
the message shines through.
I’ll pull the curtains
and stand in the shadows.
Is it all worth it to stand on a chair?
To look down from above
not even knowing
you wear a blindfold
and never will see.
Checkmate, it’s your move,
I won’t surrender.
