Leaving My Childhood, by DarkEnvy Subscribe to rss feed for DarkEnvy

Lost in this forrest I were ment to stay
Where things are wild and all play.
The touch of magic upon my shoulder
I wish to join them but I'm growing older.
The laughing and cheers call my name
Wanting me to play an addictive game.
Music around me play heavenly notes
Crystal waters filled with leafy boats.
With them dancing in my mind
It is hard to leave my childhood behind.
Their drums, my every heart beat
A toadstall made for seat.
My mind tells me it is gone
But my soul of a child is holding on.
When I imagine my magic folk are there
They all dissapeare into thin air.
But I look back and see
That them I no longer need.
When leaving my childhood
I wouyld just stay if I could.
But I need to go, I need to grow
Them I need to show,
That I have a life I'am making
But also a dream I'am breaking.
