Winters End (co-writen), by Josh..... Subscribe to rss feed for Josh.....

Snow falling in the forest
I wander through the trees examining the trunks
Were had the tree gone?
The cold bites my nose and stings my cheeks
The winter was a long one the last time he saw
He stumbled through the snow clumsily
The prison had been dark and uncomforting
The time spent there even more painful
Ten years and two since he last saw
Lost he wanders through the grove
He swore it was here he couldn’t have forgot
Yet many years had past
The trees were more grown now
Tiring yet not giving up sloshing on the snow melting
Warming him his heart begins to jump with joy as he sees
Sun peaks through the taller trees as he approaches
A medium sized tree stands there in splendor
He looks on the trunk and sees the heart
Initials still there through all that winter
The sun now beating down the sun melts he is a new man
Running off he knows whom he must find
