The man with everything, how he cries
Cuz’ he carries the streets within his eyes
The days he’s suffered show no regret
They have made where he has been so he can never forget
His innocence was stolen by the ways of the ghetto
Trapped by the streets without a possibility of hope
No father to guide him, his mother lost to drugs
No one to listen, a baby raised without love
He cries in the silence of his minds privacy
Because he was taught showing tears made him weak
Even though he has left his past behind
Sometimes he wishes he could go back into time
So the mistakes he’s made could be rethought
And all the dreams he’d wished for wouldn’t have been
lost
Now he realizes and has finally come to understand
That he can’t continue to regret a past that shaped him
into a man
