Shattered Life, by BrwnEyes Subscribe to rss feed for BrwnEyes

Music playing softly in the background,
The crying of a baby can be heard all around.
Two people fighting, glass breaking,
With words of venom being thrown every which way.
Tears of pain remembering that day...

It's silent and peaceful, people are sleeping,
The next thing they notice the phone is ringing,
One person on the phone,
Her face as white as a ghost,
And no emotion is shown.

Two cars, one mass of metal,
Three dead, bodies so frail.

Two parents crying and weeping,
Their baby boy won't be waking from his sleeping...

Glass and metal clashing, tires screeching,
People stand by and witness this meeting...
One kid full of alcohol,
Got his keys and lost it all;
His mom, his dad, his little sister too,
And two people he killed that he never knew...

This memory is so strong and so real,
That I can't put into words the pain I feel.
I try to erase it; I try to stay calm,
But it's no use, my brother is gone.
