Guilt Takes Hold as Stories Unfold, by ♥ Break The Tradition Subscribe to rss feed for <i><b> ♥ Break The Tradition

Another gun to the temple
Another knife to the throat
Another play with death
Another lie; another hoax

Its that sparkle in your eye
That dies out; fades away
Its that smirk on your lips
That slowly starts to cave

Its a hole in your heart
From the girl that you loved
Its the butterflies that die
Like every kiss; every hug

Its the hope that you lost
Held in a red velvet box
Its the reel playing in your head
Of everything you've lost

The regret that you hold
The memories of long ago
The thoughts running through
For everything you can never hold

The mistake that you made
The lies that were told
The hurt that you dealt
Stories start to unfold

Secrets were found
And feelings were lost
Love rewound
Hearts were tossed

It was the gleam in her eyes
The lust that you couldn't ignore
The ignorance was bliss
Until you could hide no more

The guilt over ran you
The lies digging deep
Robotic days
And nights with no sleep

She was everything to you
Everything and more
But you shattered her heart
As soon as your clothes hit the floor

Guilt tears at you
Building up higher now
No longer are you free
But only as much as your concience will allow
