Searching for a pretty bottle
Filled with good wine
Not to be an antidote to hormones
Just for some peace of mind

Could one of you ladies be so kind
As to show me a sign?

I been searching
And it's harder than I thought to find
Tell you the truth it’s getting on my nerves
I'm writing this to unwind

Could one of you ladies be so kind
As to show me a sign?

I've checked into heartbreak hotel
Searching through its empty corridors
Looking everywhere I could
Without going on all fours

Could one of you ladies be so kind
As to show me a sign?

Love has to be blind
Love has to be deaf
I get love notes
But never of the right clef

Could one of you ladies be so kind
As to show me a sign?

And I could be here pessimistic
Making you feel pain
Writing about standing at the top of a bridge alone
My soul being chiseled away by the pouring rain

Nobody to save me
Just standing there in the dark
Listening to the traffic below
Reminiscing about days at the park

Nobody bothering to find me
Just standing there trying to figure out life
Wondering if some are destined to be alone
While others are pronounced man and wife

But I don't,
I just keep searching,
And staying away from dark rainy bridges of course
Just asking one question and searching

So could one of you ladies be so kind
As to show me a sign?

your writing to unwind within this poem, makes me think of Proverbs 31 in bible, The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
