i can see it in your eyes
the thing that you disguise
i look up at the sky
and ask my wonder whys

why did this happen to you
what did you ever do
treated like the bottom of a shoe
waiting desperately for the day anew

looking in the mirror
daily i see this dear
cautiously risking a peer
trying to catch that falling tear

whiping it away
going out to play
what a price to pay
to go day to day

one day i no longer look
my heart rattled, shattered, and shook
too long hapiness took
writing forever in this book

I wish i could say it came to an end
but now it has taken an unexpected bend
my heart i no longer generously lend
my life is the number one for me to tend
