Tormented Rain (2), by *****Junior Walker***** Subscribe to rss feed for *****Junior Walker*****

Rain beats against my window
As I awake to a distressed call
I open my window getting raindrops on myself
And see a girl being pounded by the heavy rain
Standing there outside my window
All the time being torn apart by a wailing wind
I can’t stop the rain so I tell her to come inside
She declines not wanting to bother me with her troubles
And as she says those words the rain grows heavier
Tornados spin around her shrieking and howling
Causing rivers to burst banks and overflow
As the wails fill my ears I beg her to come inside
She finds comfort on the floor and hugs her knees
Waiting for an end to the rain I do the same
I hold her against my chest
Both of us drenched from the rain
Whispering what sweetness I can in her ear.
Over her head I see the winds outside calming down
Lifting up her chin I see beauty restored all around
I see smiles as the sun breaks in from outside
Looking in her eyes I see the rivers glisten
I stand up and look at the beauty in my presence in awe
And the calm which has presented itself
Not a word, not a sound
She rises to her feet and closes the window
Then ushers me to the bed I so recently awoke from
As I feel myself falling into dreams with tender calls
