Depressing Poem; Take One, by . QUEENIE . Subscribe to rss feed for . QUEENIE .

anon the day begin anew
and yet still, memories cling
in the early morn dew.

if it were not for
the pain we stake
is not is just a lesson
found after the mistake?

whence forth another found
the glory of
a sacrafical ground....

your hands cupped her face
the wind blew
a few stray hairs
her memory about to be erased.

summer comes and brings good tide
the winter gone
the fleeting glances
of hatred hide.

i wonder where now
it was i lost you
was when forgotten
the time of joyful laughter and how?

alas, it was never meant to be.
you've had them all the while
and i,
ahh well, i've had me.
