It's Dangerous to be Intimate, by . QUEENIE . Subscribe to rss feed for . QUEENIE .

what danger possibly
lays in intimacy
the fact that somehow
everything is seen...
all the scars
all the bruises
all the pain
it comes flooding back again.

and holding on tight
to everything that isn't
necessarily right
wondering what will become
when morning overcomes the night.

all they want is love
and what they've got is lust
all that's offered
can't be enough

and yet trusting
believing
holding... hoping
saying things
that have no meaning.

false bedroom eyes
peering through the mask
it's such a shame
that the masquerade
is almost over
the truth lays on the floor
tangled in clothes and intimates
sheets wrapped up in tangled legs
it's too much
where is the pain?

the danger in intimacy
is commitment
attachment
all the regrets
and things wished to be
yet forget...
forget what?
the danger is...
i might actually really
 ... miss you.
