A Place For Me, by itty bitty Subscribe to rss feed for itty bitty

At the bottom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is a place for me

Away from the noise
And the drone of the city
Away from the crime
And the moans of pity

At the bottom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is a place for me

"It is better to work together"
Is what everyone says
But is it really what they mean
What's going through their heads?

At the bottom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is and place for me

All around I see everyone smiling
Playing with friends, laughing
Why can't I be like them
Happy and free to be...
         Me

At the bottom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is a place for me

So, where is that place for me
Where I can be myself, you'll see
When I find it, you'll see
I'll find some place...
         Just for me

At the bottom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is a place for me

Without the noise of the city
Or the laughter of those who don't know I exist
Only those few who understand me
Will know where to find me

At the botoom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is a place for me

What I'm about to say
Can be told another way
But I'm about to tell you straight:
Life isn't always fair
One rotten event after another
Si I'll wait
In my place just for me
I'll wait...
         And start again

At the bottom of a well
Or the top of a tree
Anywhere quiet
Is a place for me

(My last transferral... I think)
