Hope Is..., by Kauri Subscribe to rss feed for Kauri

Hope is a fluffy teddy bear,
comforting you in the night,
keeping away all the monsers,
that you weren't quite ready to fight...

Hope, when discouraged, is a cold wind,
lifting off the sea, ripping at your face,
a storm, tipping your ship,
crew's loyalty, leaving your grace.

Hope is an old lover's touch,
right before death's grasp,
holding and waiting
for their life's last gasp.

Hope is an untouched knoll
lying in the flower fields and grass,
watching clouds, life and animals
through an infinite looking glass.

Hope is what you make it,
so make it what you want,
so remember, without hope,
fear is all you've got...
