black lace
tangled with black hair
a dark black look
a blank black stare,
do you really think i care?

pink hightops
graze bare legs
a contrast of pink to white
the last of society's leftover dregs,
from freedom one begs.

bizarre gaze
puzzled looks
devoured by art
alone, in crannies and nooks
looking for the good old hooks.

when one says
fuck you world
you turn your back
and sullenly mope
becomes entangled
in a reality created by dope.

the drugs that heal us
do not cure.
the ones what want
we can never be sure.

fallen from grace
angel without wings
tears upon it's face...
lost now
forever succumbed
to a world
where everything numbed.

feelings that hide
brewed steady
steeped deep
held hostage inside
escape through art
silent cries for attention
the world of isolation
constant detention.

arret!
no, don't.
follow... follow...
followers lead
and leaders follow
shallow breathes
one deep swallow.

linger long
and forever forget
where was it
that we belong?
society is nothing more
than what we create
you call it fate?

destiny becomes us
the future lays in the past
i guess thats why
freedom of expression
can never last.

so you're a freak now
are you?
are you true to yourself
are you what you do?
or is it a phase
a passing stage
to find oneself
and realize these be not the right ways?

or is it a lifetime
a style to live by
is it a mess
that we wallow in deep?

the sickness breeds
inside the norm
the sickness is
where i call home.

you think we're odd
you made us.
you made us the freaks
is it wrong
oh. it looks bleak.

if change can't replace
the feelings of loss
where then can
the next halo be tossed?

saints and martyrs
devils and viper's broods...
are we not the same.
are we not yet
all the ones to blame,

if you stepped back
second glance
take your chance
second guess
excuse me sir
im not at my best

and yet strive on
to be what im not
to do what is right
forget what we're taught.

could you find love
could you find Jesus
if you looked in the dark
would it be in your heart?

or are you like the rest
taking but never giving.
gracious
spacious
a world without walls
then how can one be

outside of the box.

is there a box?
or is it a hoax.

why are we nothing more
than the fabric of our cloaks.

so you are tweed,
and he is denim.
richest satin
forgiveness is murder
to step out of line
to forget, chance it.
oh, how divine.

can you live and let live
how long till you find
yourself in black lace
mourning
forgetting
crying out to find your place?

death beseeches
life beneath us.
better now yet not any
forget it.
i have but one idea
not many.

so stick to the rules
but i have to wonder
if we're not meant to question
why do so many blunder?

is the Devil temptation
or is he salvation?
saving the state
from change and mass liberalization?

are you afraid?
afriad of the dark,
afraid of ideas
you cannot yet grasp?

I think it's God's will
that we move on and better the world
why not give graces
where second chances not granted?
the devil tempts us all
with he sweet siren call.

you want the best
but do you realize
what you do to achieve?
look past the skin now
look deep

...believe.
