~~ Truth in Beauty ~~, by FirePoet, by Thoughtless Encounters Subscribe to rss feed for Thoughtless Encounters

My eyes have beheld,
Many things of beauty.
Some brought about by joy,
Others beautiful, yet tragic.
Beauty of life and death.

Dew kissed roses,
Awakening at morn.
Glistening petals,
Perfection, against twilights sky.
Exquisite sunrise!

A black -widow spider
Capturing, the prey shes lured
To her web of death.
Watching her devour her meal,
Insuring her survival.

Black and silver wolf
Standing in the fresh, fallen snow.
Ice covered trees behind,
Shining, curious amber eyes.
Simply breath taking!

In a forest fire dances
Roaring, raging throughout.
Rhythmic flames rise high,
Entrapping small wildlife within.
Beautiful fires price!

A new born baby,
In the arms of his mother.
Suckling at her breast,
Staring in wonderment to
Her tearing, smiling face.

Resting so peaceful,
In deaths eternal chamber.
White satin surrounds,
The one to be committed to ground.
So, beautifully encased.

The truth in beauty,
Is quite easily defined
To each it differs.
Beauty, through my eyes you' ve seen
Vicariously...
