Let's Be Normal, by HangmanTheory Subscribe to rss feed for HangmanTheory

So we act the part,
We show no emotion,
No tears will stain our cheeks.
We’ll wait for our big break.

You showed us how,
How to live,
But despite your efforts,
We’re not all right, not at all.

It’s three o’clock in the fucking morning,
So here we are,
Alone again.
Each day is more and more like the last.

So here we are,
It’s in our blood.
And we savor every drop of it.
Call my name when you wake up.

And I’m about to do,
A million things I’ve never dreamed of before,
And I’m about so see,
A million things I thought I’d never see.

It’s not like we needed it,
But, oh, we needed it.
Cheat us, misuse us,
It’s all the same to us.

Engulf us; surround us in your greed.
I can’t feel my heart anymore.
It pains me to say,
We’re not all right.
