Dreadfully Honest, by HangmanTheory Subscribe to rss feed for HangmanTheory

I’ve got to be careful with what I say,
I’m feeling dreadfully honest,
And I fear I might give something away.
The truth is my best-kept secret,
Especially since this truth will cause me so much pain.
I could confess it with a cliché lyric,
But isn’t that such a waste?
Show me something free from the truth.

They’ve all got the talent of confusion,
But some renounce it more than others.
Protect me; shelter me with an illusion,
Some have a problem with living in general.
Maybe there’s a shortage of ways to pass the time,
And you keep your life going,
With but a pathetic whine.
Go away, bad feeling.

Dear bad feeling,
I say I’m through with you.
Leave me now,
Go and find someone new.
Show me something permanent,
And I’ll show you dissolution.
I know that sounds miserable,
But that’s just the impression I’ve got.
