Solitude under the sun
Forgetting all my fears.
It’s my idea of fun,
Stop shedding all these tears,
Rays of warmth, cuddle close to me,
Reminding me of you.
You’re all that I see.
And there’s nothing I can do.
Even as I try to forget
All of the memories.
Even though everything was set,
You just had to leave.
Those were all lies.
Painful reminders of the past.
As I look up into the sky,
I know nothing ever lasts.
