The End of the Road, by Danielle Lewis Subscribe to rss feed for <font color=Danielle Lewis">

When there's no where else to run
how can life go on?
When you're struggling to keep your stance
how can you stay in life's dance?
These questions fill my mind as I wonder
is this the end? Or just another thing for me to ponder?

As hope continues to fail
will the courage and strength prevail?
But still I hold on to what little hope i hold,
as the weight on my shoulders continues to load
Will we make it another day?
Will there be another chance for me to say?
Or is the winding road at the end of its path?

The journey has been a long and preposterous one,
but somehow I've managed to keep going on.
Past each door that leads to an exit,
but is this the last door for me?
Is this the place on the long winding road,
where my last words will be forever in stone?
The end of the winding road?
