That Girl, by souless Subscribe to rss feed for souless

Do you see that girl?

The one with short hair

The one with a smile on her face

It’s an act

There she goes bouncy and bubbly

People all around holding onto what she says

No matter where she is she has friends

But it’s an act

She is tough, and laughs at bullies

She is always there for her friends

Nothing harmful can touch her

But it’s a act

She is brave

Never leaves a friend alone

Never cowers from danger but takes the world on

But it’s an act

Do you want to see who she really is?

This girl is a coward

She doesn’t do want she wants

She is a slave to what others want

The smile this girl wears

It is as thin as paper

And behind that paper is frown

Behind those eyes sparkling in the light?

Those are tears, just waiting to fall down

In her head she doesn’t hear her friends

But other voices

Insulting her, teasing her

She laughs at bullies unaffected

Because nothing they say is worse than her voices inside

She is always there for her friends

Protecting them

Being there for them

Its because she doesn’t want them to deal with what she
deals with

One day she hopes that she will smile from the inside

She will be her own person

This girl will not be a slave but will be free

There will be no voices and she will be truly happy

But until then she will just have to wait
