Rope Necklace, by Karlee Anderson Subscribe to rss feed for Karlee Anderson

Dancing flowers in the moonlight,
twirling, wrapping, each in love.
Waiting in the meadow this night
hearing the angels sing above.
Being the bittersweet music
the flowers dance to.
It is almost like a retro classic
the way they move fro and to.
It could not keep me waiting
I ran, pain in my ear.
I could not try debating
to give in to love or fear.
I fled the moon beams
and the meadow.
The world is not all it seems.
Do you hear the screams echo?
Up to the willow tree
straight to where they hanged three.
Side by side,
as they died.
You will find me there
with a blank and distant stare.
Up where I made my own rope necklace.
