Prison Walls, by my_darkest_dayss Subscribe to rss feed for my_darkest_dayss

These prison walls I am surrounded by
They keep me locked away, protected from freedom
The walls surround me thick - no matter how hard I try
To break free of them, oh somebody please help me

This adventure they've caused me to go on
It's like a rocky roller coaster I just want to get off
These prison walls have cause me to be stereotyped
Am I attention seeking? Emo? Or goth?

If I break free from this prison
Even for a moment
It captures me again and leaves an incision
On my wrist where it marks, bleeds and scars
And waits for the next time this horrible action occurs

Day in day out, I suffer this abuse
That my mind and addiction causes me to do
To my body - will I stop? Is it any use?

These prison walls holding me here I will break free
It may take sometime
But please keep your faith in me

I will not let you down
This will be over soon enough
I just need my true friends around
To keep me focused, to help me be tough

This will end, I promise you
Just give me time
I love you and will see you soon.
