Longing!

Alone on the sofa,
the room seems empty and dark
I wish that you could be here,
to kiss me and leave your mark
Instead I find I'm wondering
Are you with her instead?
Do you lie awake thinking
Of me once your in your bed?
The Tv  seems to emphasise
The fact that you're not here
And leaves me longing even more
That I wish that you were near
It seems I've loved you forever
As if there was never a time before us
Yet, we've never had the chance,
to think, to believe or to discuss.
It's a subject that's taboo you see
But sometimes it's all said with a touch
The words are too hard to hear
The emotions made real, too much!
Oh ....to do the normal things
That other couples get to do
To kiss and cuddle on the sofa
Laugh together, start life anew.
As life passes us by
With me here and you there
I often feel this situ is just too much to bare.
I want to spend my life with you
To laugh and cry and more
But you're committed to your family
So it'll never happen for sure
Doesn't hurt to dream tho
And keeps the darkest demons at bay
What's to come In the future
Well, I guess no one can say.
