goodbye, goodbye, by Anathema Subscribe to rss feed for Anathema

solemn farewells and wishful adieus
you wish you hadn't told the truth
and i'm afraid to say i haven't yet
and afraid to say what is

witty hellos and graceful departures
you call them all names, but you are the martyr
and you love to play the saddest part
and love the blood and tears

a different greeting and a strange goodbye
i forgot why it was that i tried
so many many years ago it seems
so many breaths i've had to take

i remember the lines from all of the songs
the ones that stuck out in my mind
as if bolded and italicized..
to tell me what to do.

why do i have this feeling
that i am fading out

I liked it up until the last couple of lines, I'm not sure where they fit in, but you are the author and I will leave that to you, wonderful none-the-less.
