The Circle of Life, by Maren Subscribe to rss feed for Maren

I told you I would wait,
And I am trying to,
But while doing so,
I slowly begin to hate.

Don't hate you for you,
But for the way you do,
You do not seem to care,
Or why weren't you there?

Nights getting longer,
the pain growing stronger,
I'm looking for an end,
Holding out the unwanted hand.

Want everything to quit,
Things don't seem to fit,
Not seeing any more,
the love I was once searching for.

Blood pounding threw my veines,
It is still kept inside,
Is it the deep pain,
I am trying to hide?

I won't let it out,
Because I had learned life,
Was worth without a doubt,
the challenge to survive.

Though I cannot take it,
Thinking I won't make it,
Not wanting anymore,
But one thing I know for sure:

I neither want to be,
Nor feel, nor hear, nor see,
In a different World,
In a World that's without you.
