Just as Well, by Convalescence Subscribe to rss feed for Convalescence

This is who I am.
I'm becoming who I'll be.
These things just don't give mercy
with what they do to me.

They cause these watery eyes,
and haunt me in my sleep.
I promised I'd forget,
but they're engraved and killing me.

You promised me you'd tell them.
I know you heard me cry.
You've known just what happened,
and then you ask me why?

Why can't you udnerstand?
You promised me so much.
You never keep you promises,
why would I ask you such?

You told me that you'd tell him...
made me di it all myself.
I'm aksing you to help me,
and you think I'm doing well.

I'm screaming out for help
and you just ask me why.
Why must you understand
the reason that I cry?

You see, how things are going...
must do it all myself.
I'm growing up too soon,
but it is just as well.
