That Day, by *~Mik@y1@~* Subscribe to rss feed for *~Mik@y1@~*

I fell in love with you
That one chilly day.
The memory is so clear.
It’s like it was just yesterday.

I was walking on those snowy streets,
Not planning, not hoping.
Enjoying the day, nothing more,
When suddenly my life completes.

The sky was blue.
Your eyes were too.
It was so clear.
As were my feelings for you.

The ice sparkled,
Glittered in the sunlight.
Your aura glowed,
As if in the limelight.

Your soul spoke to mine.
We were in tune, in time.
A melody of unspoken words,
Such a lovely rhyme.

The wind whispered.
I heard your voice.
An easy choice,
I had to rejoice.

The snow was a blanket—
White, fluffy, pure.
Ready to be explored,
With you I felt so sure.

You smiled, you laughed,
You took my breath away.
You grabbed my heart, held it fast,
Watched over it day by day.

The world was chaotic, crowded.
Yet we were the only ones there.
In a world of our own,
Everything was so fair.

The connection was like “pow!”
A big smack in the face.
It was so strong, so powerful,
Nothing could take its place.

I knew you were beautiful,
Everyone could see.
However, no one knew,
How lovely you could be.

Grace descended,
Perfection appeared.
Only towards you,
My entire being was geared.

So special, so rare.
You are the perfect jewel.
Everything I could ever want.
I hope I’m not a fool.

I closed my eyes,
Thought I dreamed of you.
Opened my eyes,
Found out you were true.

I wish you could’ve been
In my shoes that day.
Then you would understand
How I came to feel this way. ©
