Knotted gold, by Gabrielle Subscribe to rss feed for Gabrielle

the sky is dark
no shining diamonds to sparkle this night
no glowing ambers of light

the clouds lay low
city lights causing an orange glow
a brokeness stirs as the black winds begin to blow

so mangled my emotions
like a fine gold chain
knotted so tightly it cannot be undone
to fine it might break
i carelessly fiddled with
so it lays left undelt with
forever knotted

like some worthless cause
tucked neatly in some dark place
it lays waiting for nimble fingers
with the knowledge of how to unlock
the feelings inside

so distantly i drift to a far away place
never mending the tattered threads
which loosly hang from my inner parts
no longer a soul, to dark, to cold.

much like these skies
much like these winds
