You First, by Tyler Cedric Golden Subscribe to rss feed for Tyler Cedric Golden

You told me to go, but I said no you,
And you looked at me like you didn’t know what to do,
Trying to act all baffled and confused,
I told you to hurry up and choose,
Do you want to jump across first or me?
Make your decision; I have to be home by three,
So you said okay I’ll jump first,
And as you lifted off the ground, things turned to the
worse….

That was years ago, upon your fall,
The time and place, where you lost it all,
Just because we were kids, enjoying life,
Now I never enjoy it, everyday is spent with a knife,
Forever now I am cursed,
All because I said the words “You First.”
